Character's Background and Personality: Maria is an energetic child and an orphan at a young age. Kali's mother took her in when she was three years old and grew up alongside Kali. When she learned of the Pokemon DNA fusing with human DNA and Kali's mother's plan to take over the world, she decided to help Kali and the other Hybrids as well.
